Just another person who didn't see this...

I'm Molly. I'm 18. I'm bad at introductions but here I am.
My poetry probably says more about me than I can.
I'm a singer, learning opera and I'm (nearly) fluent in Spanish.
I'm going to college, have a double major and am seriously considering adding Psychology somewhere along the line.

I have a suggestion I wish I had done many years ago:  since I first majored in music, then dropped out, then went back for nursing.....

MUSIC THERAPY

just a thought dear......

there is much that can be done, even with psych patients, with music.

love ya dear

Welcome, Molly,

I agree with Mel on music therapy as something you might consider. But I imagine being just a poet with money would be fine too.

It wouldn't be the first time someone has suggested music therapy. My school doesn't offer it but the community college at home does. It's something I may finish during the summer. I still want a psychology degree though. Now I'm really thinking I'm gonna be in school forever Wink

I went to school forever too, between the music and nursing....and honestly, its great to be out....but education is a wonderful thing...

I think you should get the psych degree and then music therapy later...it is a wonderful combination...I can see you helping many folks with psychological issues...and music is so calming....

Serge is living in a dreamland (sorry dear) because Ive been a poet all my life and have only been paid for it a few times..(and it's usually a small amount)

FFMand manages to get paid for writing, but he isn't writing what he wants to write half the time...so I'm not sure that is the best way to go....

I think you have a good plan ahead of you, and you can *always* write poems in your spare time....

take care dear!!!
